Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Chipotle BBQ Sauce

If you are shrimp lover, look no further for an outstanding Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with Chipotle BBQ Sauce.  This recipe can be completely prepared under 25 minutes!  Thanks to Guy Fieri with the FoodTV Network for this delicious recipe.  I assure you, you will not be disappointed.  This recipe will be added treat for your next grilling with family and friends! 

 Ingredients
20 strips bacon (about 12 ounces)
20 medium-large shrimp, shelled and deveined (about 1 pound)
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup canola oil
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
3 tablespoons chopped chipotles in adobo sauce
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Freshly ground pepper


Directions


Soak 5 to 8 bamboo skewers in water for about 20 minutes to keep them from burning on the grill or under the broiler.


Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a large skillet until halfway done, about 4 minutes. Drain and cool on paper towels. Wrap a piece of bacon around the middle of each shrimp; skewer with bamboo through the point where the bacon ends meet to keep it from unraveling. Thread 3 to 5 shrimp on each bamboo skewer.


Puree the barbecue sauce, oil, lemon juice, mustard, chipotles, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper in a blender. Set aside half of the sauce for dipping.


Preheat a grill, grill pan or broiler. Grill or broil shrimp (on a foil-lined baking sheet, if broiling) for 5 minutes, basting with the sauce once they begin to turn pink. Flip, baste again and grill or broil until just cooked through, about 4 more minutes. Serve with extra sauce.

BBQ Shortribs

Now that summer time is here, you are probably thinking about a quick and easy recipe that you can BBQ for your family and friends.  We all know that Bobby Flay is an excellent chef, therefore, I have provided you with the link to his recipe "BBQ Shortribs" that takes less than 25 minutes to prepare.  I do hope you enjoy! 

Ingredients

2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds, plus more for sprinkling
4 large cloves garlic, pressed
1 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sherry
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, finely grated
1/2 cup chopped scallions (green and white parts, mixed), plus more green tips for sprinkling
1 tablespoon red chili flakes
6 pounds short ribs, cut into thin pieces, about 2 1/2 inches long
 Directions


Grind the sesame seeds in a coffee grinder until fine. Place the ground sesame seeds in a medium bowl and add the garlic, soy, sherry, honey, sesame oil, water, ginger, scallions, and red chili flakes; stir until thoroughly combined.

Place the ribs in a large baking dish, pour the marinade over, and turn to coat. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Remove the ribs from the marinade and grill on both sides until golden brown and crispy, about 15 minutes. Reduce the heat of the grill, close the cover, and grill until tender, about 15 minutes longer.

Remove to a platter and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
